Hi, I'm Dreamer Andersson. also know as TRIPOD, reef-dog, dreamsicle, and  "that-stupid-dog-that-ran-off-again"

I was rescued from the pound in Denver, CO. My original name was Sugar, but my grandma decided to call me dreamer because I always move around an bark a lot when I'm sleeping.

I used to have a wonderful sister Spotted Dog, but unfortunately she died at the ripe old age of 18. She was a wonderful friend. After that, I moved in with Zach in 1997 up in Greeley, CO. We had lots of fun together...I would run away...he'd chase me down :-) It was a blast! Then he wised up and always put me on a leash or chain....

I have traveled extensively like my sister Bayla. I've been all over Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. I love to go camping because there's a possibility that Zach & Kelsi will forget how much I love to run away. Sometimes they've let me off the leash in an effort to trust me. HA! I will usually stick around the campsite.... until they turn their heads for a second then I'm gone! I think Zach and Kelsi love chasing after me.

I had a bad accident after one camping trip a few years ago. I was tied up in the back of the Pinzgauer with Bayla, we were cruising along a dirt road up by Hot Sulphur Springs, CO. I thought I saw an elk or a deer...so I obviously jumped out to get it.....who wouldn't? Well, I broke both the ropes I was tied in with, but in the process, I didn't land on my feet real well. I kind of crushed and separated all the nerves in my left front leg. I also broke my jaw and tore the pads off my feet. I was a real mess....

I never got feeling back in my left front leg, so Zach & Kelsi made the tough decision to have it removed. I'm glad they did....I was starting to think it looked like a good piece of meat to eat.

I'm now a "disabled" dog, or whatever the politically correct term is this week. Basically I'm a 3-legged dog. I get around fine, and I am as strong as ever. I can still run away, jump in the back of the truck and generally be myself.

I love Zach & Kelsi and owe them a lot.....I just wish they'd let me run off more often!
