    5/16/04

On Sunday my neighbor Zach came over and we worked on a few more details of the deck. I was beat, so I didn't get too much accomplished today.

We began by cutting the beams for the south stairs and getting them in place. We also got the rim joist up for where the south stairs will begin.

Zach and I also cut the beams to length. The was a big deal, because a screw up here would have major implications. Luckily everything went smoothly.

Zach left @ 11:00 and I decided to take a break. The cold I'd been fighting had finally caught up with me.

Later that afternoon I found some energy and got some shimming done. I also laid out the important joist where the west stairs would hang. After that, I was pooped and went inside as Kelsi's sister Jamie came over with her new guy. Went went to Romas in Greeley for a carroli and some margaritass. Mike came along as well. That boy needs to learn how to get a marg. down better! I whooped him.
